OBJECTIVE.

Key points of our work.

Origin of BASS.

The BASS was founded in 2018 as a platform for aviation safety on an NGO basis and a non-profit organization for business aviation operations in Switzerland to promote this important topic. The participating group has continued to develop and address various topics. Over the course of time, various members with a special connection to business aviation have joined. These include Skyguide, military flight operations, the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, etc…

During the years of its existence, several projects have been discussed and further developed within the group. Pilot Peer Systems, Airspace E, relevant legislative changes, Flight Data Monitoring, safety during pandemic situations, Regulatory overkill, Sustainability and CO2, GPS Jamming and Spoofing, SAR, Skyguide Crosstalk etc.

The most important thing at all the meetings was that the group consolidated and thus established a sense of trust so that difficult and confidential topics remained within the group. Important issues can only be addressed if confidentiality is guaranteed.

We will continue to drive forward our efforts for safety in aviation and initiate various campaigns and have a website in fall 2024. With this commitment, we expect to increase our reach in the pursuit of safety and, over time, establish a platform for exchange and an information database. Our members should be able to derive the greatest possible benefit from this.
